Harrison police officers made two arrests on Saturday, July 11, 2026, one for suspected drunken driving and another on an outstanding warrant, according to the department's official blotter.

At approximately 12:03 a.m., Officer Rueda observed a white 2013 Honda Accord fail to stop at a red light near Sussex Street and South 2nd Street, according to the Harrison Police Department blotter published Sunday, July 12.

Rueda pulled the vehicle over in front of 133 Sussex St. The driver displayed signs of intoxication and failed standardized field sobriety tests, the blotter states. He was arrested on a DWI charge and later released to a responsible party.

At approximately 4:10 p.m. the same day, Officer Barbosa stopped a gray 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander near Frank E. Rodgers Blvd. North and Central Avenue after a license plate check flagged an active warrant.

The warrant, valued at $2,000, had been issued through New Jersey's Automated Traffic System out of Newark. The driver confirmed he was the vehicle's registered owner, was advised of the warrant, and was placed under arrest. He was later released on his own recognizance.
