Purchase College earned a No. 9 ranking among public national liberal arts colleges in U.S. News & World Report's 2027 guide, according to a college announcement published on Patch. The Harrison campus also received a Top Performer on Social Mobility designation, which evaluates how well a school serves low-income students.

"We're thrilled that Purchase is once again a Top 10 Public School among National Liberal Arts Colleges," President Michael Steiper said in a statement released Tuesday, Sept. 29.

The Princeton Review's 2027 guide separately placed Purchase among its Best 392 Colleges in the nation, a list covering only 15 percent of the country's four-year schools. That guide also tagged the campus as a Best Northeastern College, a Top Green College and a Best College Theatres school.

Purchase College sits at 735 Anderson Hill Road in Harrison.
