Harrison residents can start casting ballots for the Nov. 3 general election two weeks early, beginning Saturday, Oct. 24, at St. Gregory the Great Church, 215 Halstead Ave.

The nine-day early voting window runs through Sunday, Nov. 1, according to the Westchester County Board of Elections. Hours shift from day to day. Plan ahead.

The schedule applies to all 25 county sites:

  • Saturday, Oct. 24: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Sunday, Oct. 25: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Monday, Oct. 26: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Oct. 27: noon to 8 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Oct. 28: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Thursday, Oct. 29: noon to 8 p.m.
  • Friday, Oct. 30: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Saturday, Oct. 31: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Sunday, Nov. 1: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Registered voters are not limited to their home municipality's site. Any of the county's 25 early voting locations are open to any registered Westchester voter, the Board of Elections said.

Two other sites sit close to home for readers in Rye and Rye Brook. The Rye Brook Firehouse at 940 King St. and the Resurrection Early Childhood Education Center at 88 Milton Rd. in Rye are both on the list.

Voters who cast a ballot during the early voting period cannot vote again on Election Day.

Myra Oney, advocacy co-chair of the League of Women Voters of Northwest Westchester County, wrote in an October guest editorial in The Croton Chronicle that, as of October, there are no changes to the way New Yorkers can vote this cycle. Early in-person voting can be done at any of the 25 designated locations, she wrote.

The Board of Elections notes that early voting sites are subject to change. Voters can check for updates at citizenparticipation.westchestercountyny.gov or call the Westchester Board of Elections at (914) 995-5700.

The deadline to register to vote in the Nov. 3 election is Saturday, Oct. 24, the same day early voting begins. Registration applications must be received by the Board of Elections by that date.

On Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3, polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Early voting results will be canvassed and reported after 9 p.m. that night.
