Harrison High School junior Antonio Albanese has been named one of lohud's 2026 Football Hype Men. The regional honor spotlights the loudest leaders on high school sidelines across the Lower Hudson Valley.
The list, published Tuesday, Sept. 22 by lohud football writer Mike Dougherty, was built from coach nominations across the region. Dougherty asked coaches to identify the players who talk up teammates during the week, fire up the locker room before kickoff and keep the sideline engaged when momentum shifts. Albanese was among the players coaches singled out for that role.
He wears No. 8 for the Huskies.
Albanese plays both ways at quarterback and linebacker, making him one of the most visible players on the Harrison roster. He was on the field for all three of the Huskies' games this fall, including a Sept. 17 home loss to Clarkstown South that a Reuters game photo captured him defending a reception.
Harrison sits at 2-1 through three games this season. The Huskies opened with wins over Brewster, 19-14, on Sept. 3 and Nyack, 42-2, on Sept. 10 before falling to Clarkstown South, 22-18, at home on Thursday, Sept. 17, according to MaxPreps. Harrison holds a 1-1 league record, second in its league.
The recognition comes as the Huskies look to build on a strong recent run. Harrison went 6-3 in 2025 with a 4-1 league record and reached the Section 1 semifinals for a fourth consecutive year, according to the Harrison school district's athletics page. The program also earned a home playoff game for the fourth straight season.
Albanese and the Huskies return to action Friday, Sept. 25 at Clarkstown North with a 6 p.m. kickoff. Harrison's schedule after that includes home games against Randolph Campus on Oct. 3 and Eastchester on Oct. 10, followed by a road trip to Rye on Oct. 17.
