Nine Rye YMCA gymnasts traveled to Greensboro, N.C., for the 2026 National Championships and came home with eight medals between them — a strong finish to close out the season.

Kaitlin Kelly, competing in the Xcel Silver division, brought home five of those medals, posting a combined score of 37.07 over the four-day competition to finish fourth overall. Teammate Amanda Coniglio wasn't far behind, collecting three national medals of her own and finishing 10th with a 35.52.

All seven remaining gymnasts posted top-12 finishes and personal bests across multiple levels. Emery McKinney placed seventh on floor exercise with a 9.40, and Lily Warren hit a personal-best 8.875 on balance beam, both competing alongside Kelly and Coniglio in Xcel Silver. At Level 2, Alice Brown finished 11th on vault while Miu Sasaki posted a personal best on floor exercise. Level 3 gymnast Addie O'Mary cracked the top 12 on both vault and floor, and Simone Ramirez notched a personal-best 8.80 on vault.

"These athletes demonstrated the hard work and commitment they bring to the gym every day," head coach Shelly Schettino said. Schettino, who has guided the program through multiple national championship trips, including one in 2024, called this year's results a fitting way to close out the season.
