Rye's girls soccer team rolled to its eighth shutout of the season Tuesday, Oct. 13, beating Ursuline 6-0 at home to extend its winning streak to seven games.

The Garnets improved to 12-0-2 overall and 7-0-1 in league play, as first reported by MyRye.com. MaxPreps ranks them No. 1 in New York, No. 1 in Section 1 and No. 33 nationally.

Sophomore striker Harkin Brown opened the scoring and later assisted on a goal by Vivian Miller. Brown was named Most Outstanding Player of the 2025 Class A state final.

Senior captain Charlotte Keenan, a Notre Dame soccer commit, added two goals. Cameron Dawson scored off an assist from Rose Denvir, who also stood out on the defensive end.

The final goal belonged to Blake Sasse. The senior captain and Colgate lacrosse commit is the team's regular goalkeeper but found the net for her first goal of the 2026 season.

Head coach Rich Savage is in his 34th season leading the program. "Year to year, no matter where we end up, our philosophy as a program never changes," Savage said in the Rye Record's Sept. 4 season preview.

The Garnets have not lost since 2024. They captured the 2025 NYSPHSAA Class A state championship with a 4-0 win over Aquinas Institute, finishing that season 21-0-3, as reported by lohud.

The Oct. 13 win was Rye's second victory over Ursuline this season. The first meeting was a 5-0 Garnets win on Sept. 28.

Rye hosts Eastchester on Thursday, Oct. 15, at 5 p.m., then travels to Byram Hills on Monday, Oct. 19, at 5 p.m.
